Since graduating as a CIDESCO therapist in 1980 Sheila Curran has worked in all aspects of the Beauty, Spa & Wellness sector both Nationally & Internationally.
Beginning with teaching her interests brought her to France where she broadened her knowledge into the area of Cosmetic Science and Thalassotherapy/Spa.
Upon her return to Ireland she began supplying skin care products, equipment and other consumables to an emerging salon industry and continued to provide advanced training in new therapies as they evolved. Training internationally for Thalgo gave her great insight into the emerging spa market and when it emerged here in the 2000’s she was at the forefront in terms of spa design, build and management and was responsible for the development of such spas as Villa Spa @ Kilashee House, The Spa @ Mount Wolseley Resort and Seoid @ Dunboyne Castle to name but a few.
In 2009 she took over as Director and Principal of Coogan Bergin College & Clinic which has been training therapists to International Standards since 1982.
Always known for her high standards she has been very outspoken and vocal in her desire to help maintain standards in all aspects of the industry. As President of CIDESCO Ireland she and her colleagues hosted the CIDESCO World Congress in Ireland in 2016.
