International Employment Permits
It is a policy of our Government that jobs in Ireland should be offered first to suitably skilled Irish and European Economic Area (EEA) nationals. They should only be offered to non-EEA nationals if there are no suitable candidates within the EEA.
However, if you cannot find people with the skill sets you need within the EEA, you may be able to use
employment permits to recruit people from outside the EEA.
Current Government policy is to issue employment permits for the employment of non-EEA nationals only for specific vacancies. You must advertise the vacancy on JobsIreland.ie and EURES at least 28 days before you apply for an employment permit.
